Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.
Details on how to do that can be found here.

Lots of things. What surprises me is the cavalier attitude you socialist fuckwits have about El Chapo's escape...It's not like he's some sort of Marxist revolutionary. He's as capitalistic and corrupt as it gets.
Seth, when you specifically include the person you are replying to (through use of the second person pronoun, "you") in a group attack, it will be viewed as a personal attack by the staff. Just reminding you of the rules and how trying to cleverly sidestep them won't wash.
Ah, so now we have adopted the RatSkep "group attack" excuse for moddish meddling.

Okay fine, but I feel the forum beginning it's slide to oblivion.

It was not just a group attack because you said "you", thus specifically including Sean. Tis grammar. Had you said, "...the cavalier attitude socialist fuckwits have...", it would have been a simple group attack and I wouldn't have bothered mentioning it. Try and be more careful is all. :tea:

I have been a part of a number of discussion forums, and this one is far the most tolerant. I am stunned by the things moderators put up with. I have been suspended on other forums for the most innocent trivial 'offences'. Yet Rationalia accepts seriously obscene language and ad homs that would pretty much get you banned elsewhere. I do not think Seth has anything to complain about. He gets a free ride here.

Indeed. That's why it's the best.
I am stunned by the things moderators put up with.

I am stunned by the puritanical mindset of internet trolls who complain about the content of private fora rather than fucking off somewhere else.

Been there, done that. I got banned from RatSkep without breaking their rules. They had to violate their own FUA and make shit up to excuse their reprehensible behavior.

Yup, a free speech ride, and I'd like to keep it that way, so when some mod spouts RatSkepish bullshit I'm going to pitch a fit, because if somebody doesn't challenge such fuckwittery it's sure to become accepted practice and the cancer will have taken root here.

Er, by "you" I meant all of you who are socialists, who are by definition fuckwits because it has been soundly proven by history, then and now, that socialism is a fuckwitted sociopolitical derangement that never, ever works.

So, if the shoe fits, wear it. If you don't want to be called a fuckwitted socialist, don't be a socialist.

You are free to call anybody, anything you like, any time you like. I am free to suspend anybody, for anything, any time I like. The difference is, while you can't do a fucking thing about whether or not you get suspended, I can do something about what you call people. I have the power here.

Now, I prefer to self-restrict my suspension practices to a very limited set of circumstances. You know what they are. Stay on the right side of them and you are free to spout your pathetic, politically naive, knee-jerk, ill thought through bollocks to your heart's content. Cross the line and we'll all have a holiday from it.

Soundly proven by history, my arse. :hehe:

Ah yes, the distinctive signs of megalomaniacal psychosis appear. It was inevitable, as power corrupts. :prof:

Er, you nazis don't have a great reputation from history either.
You don't seem to attract the greatest of minds. It's more an appeal to the lowest intellect.
Which works, sometimes, but it's never been about appealing to those who actually have any intelligence.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of ... ment_Index

Just to rebut Seths statement about socialism being proved a failure by history. The reference above is to the Human Development Index, which really is a measure of how successful a country is in looking after its people. Here are the top ten.

1. Norway
2. Australia
3. Switzerland
4. Netherlands
5. USA
6. Germany
7. New Zealand
8. Canada
9. Singapore
10. Denmark.

From that list, Norway is the most socialist and the most successful. Out of those ten, most would be called socialist by Seth's definitions.

Failure, my pallid white arse!
