Cito is the wiser of the two but they still make formidable debating opponents though the problem for Samsa is that he
takes him way too seriously. If he could stop doing it just some of the time then he would be in a better position to win
against him. Having said that though I do love it when Cito uses psychological ploys to undermine him. Given that Samsa
is an expert in this field it should not be a problem for him. But it shall be interesting to see how they square up to each
other when Samsa returns to the fold after his rather long absence. Hopefully it shall be both serious and funny as always

Cito took some time off posting. But has returned and has been mostly coherent while battling the assorted theists.

You see, Surr, this is why I never take any compliment you give me too seriously. It's cool when you say you like my posts but then you go on to describe Cito as "wise" and portray him as some kind of intellectual powerhouse. It's like if you came up to me and said I was the prettiest girl in the whole world then moved on to say that Susan Boyle was my only competitor. It demonstrates that your ability to judge character and intelligence is absolutely fucked so any comment you make about me is meaningless.

The idea that Cito uses "psychological ploys" is hilarious. The old fucking alcoholic struggles to mash the keys in between swigs of whatever shitty bottle he's finishing for the day, which tends to have a greater effect when he's taken his psych medication. Cito is always so wildly and embarrassingly out of his depth when he tries to have a discussion with me that it's ridiculous. For example, during one of his rants about how psychology isn't a science because it doesn't build bridges, I asked him what he thought was wrong with particular areas like the research in choice theory. He turns to wikifuckingpedia, finds an article on something called "rational choice theory" in economics and explains how ridiculous it is because economics is bunk... And the time where we spent pages discussing the validity of the research on the phenomenon of 'learned helplessness' only to discover 10 pages down the track that he knew nothing about the concept, he just thought the name was silly and so he thought it couldn't have any scientific validity on that basis.

I've taken shits that have demonstrated a greater ability to implement psychological ploys than Cito.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think I'm particularly wise or smart but if Cito was "wiser" than me, I'd be a drooling imbecile.

I sometimes find that people think he's coherent when he appears to be arguing on a side they agree with because obviously people rarely take the time to deconstruct the arguments of their supporters. Not saying it's definitely the case here, maybe he's cleaned up his act, I don't know. But next time he makes a post just ask whether he's actually responding to what they say. If he starts trying to make puns then you know that he doesn't actually understand the topic and he's trying to bluff his way through it.

I'd much rather jam with Cito. So Samsa fails the Willie Nelson hurdle.

I'd much rather shove my dick in a mouse trap than hang out with you. Not sure what hurdle that is but it doesn't look good.

I'm on yo you Samsa!

I just found myself checking back thru recent CdP posts to see if your statement was correct, and then I realized: fuck that dirty dog is trying to get me to read CdP posts in revenge for the contrarian schtick.

And I say: oh hell no.

Thank you, Samsa, but I'll take your word for it. CdP posts will always be what I use to exercise my mouse wheel.

I think you'd much rather shove your dick in a mouse trap than eat breakfast. But just because you're here hanging out with me right now doesn't necessarily mean you have a smart mousetrap hanging on your dick, or that sticking your dick in mousetraps is unhealthy self-harm for you, in a "DSM/Patient UK" sort of sense.

Regardless, I'd still rather jam with Cito. :dunno:

To be fair, my comment was meant to exist in a hypothetical world where I don't actually get pleasure from my dick-in-a-mousetrap fetish. The existence of that fetish does dampen the impact of my earlier comment but I think you just need to view in the context of me not having that fetish.

And oh yeah, I forgot that you were the anti-psych nut! "Rah rah, fuck science!", hilarious. Love it, keep up the good work.

I say things in jest about others but if I am paying some one a compliment I mean it one hundred per cent. So when I pay you one I mean it just as much
as when I pay Cito one. The fact that you think Cito is mentally ill and so by implication your intellectual inferior is a wonderful example of the inability
to judge character that you ironically accuse me of. But as I do not have a problem with either of you then I can be objective in my assessments of both
of you. You however cannot be objective because of your ridiculous opinion of Cito

I am sad to see you once again using ablest slurs. Even more so as someone with more than a basic knowledge of social justice you ought to know better
As ableism is no more acceptable than racism or misogyny or homophobia. Before you got suspended over at Rat Skep you wrote in a post that Cito was
mentally ill and you rightly got called out on it. Do you think it is acceptable to regularly engage in this type of ad hom or is it alright because it is only
Cito you are talking about ? If Cito is not mentally ill then that is an entirely false slur against his character and if he is then what right have you got to
mock him in such a way ? He may be sarcastic but he does not engage in the type of ad hom which you do. You can do so much better than that Samsa
If Cito s arguments are wrong then all you have to do is point that out. No more no less

It is a shame because you were responsible for formulating the FUA over at Rat Skep with regard to how members should behave toward each other. It
is a shame you could not hold yourself to the high standard you expect of others. But I still think you are one of the more learned posters that we ever
hand in spite of your blatant ableism. And Cito is as learned as you as well. And so along with Cali and hack of course you four represent the very best

If Cito is getting to you then why can not you put emotion to one side and just engage him logically. For I leave it behind when I am online. And so no
reason why you can not as well. Your background in psychology should I would have thought help you out here. Cito recently gave me a bollocking for
I was talking about some thing he was more knowledgeable on than I. And so instead of accusing him of being mentally ill I just accepted I was wrong
and he we was right. And so consciousness raising without any ad hom. If I can do it then so can you. For there is simply no need for you to engage in
this type of behaviour. I am disappointed in you Samsa. I expect better of you. But ultimately it is you and you only who can decide how you conduct
yourself from now on. I am simply suggesting that it is entirely wrong so there is no need to do it

I realise you may come back with some wonderfully sound logical reasons as to why it is entirely acceptable for you to engage in ableism against Cito
but I am not interested in arguing this ad nauseum. For I am actually impartial in all of this. I am merely telling you how it is. For it has zero bearing
for the high regard I hold you in. But it would be nice if you listened to what I am saying here as there is absolutely no justification for it whatsoever

When you write like this, surreptitious, the odd word spacing produces a slightly eerie, disconcerting effect that is at the same time rather poetic. Is it deliberate, or do you compose a post in some other program, then cut and paste, with the line spacing being affected?
