The point of a large navy is to have one and never have to use it, and risk losing it. Should never under-estimate the Persians - they got history on their side much longer than America. The point is not to bring them civilization, but to delay their return to it long enough to forget who hit them with the style attack....even the British Empire at it's peak didn't risk a fight with that mob....yet they are ganging up on American interests - including the financial set.
