I haven't seen the Bootleg Beatles, but the Backbeat Beatles performed at the Eden Millennium Festival, and I thought they were pretty good. Mind you, I was stoned out of my head at the time, which helped. My only caveat would be that the same singer sang lead on both McCartney and Lennon songs.
