Ebola story might be just beginning.

Post by mistermack » Fri Jan 30, 2015 6:24 pm

Going by the lack of news, we might think that Ebola is nearly sorted, and that it's days are numbered.
Maybe that's true, but maybe not.

With such high numbers of Ebola sufferers, the virus will have a chance to mutate.
It's of a type that mutates easily, like flu and HIV.
So, it can become more contagious, and worse, a bit less virulent. That could mean that some people could carry it and spread it, without having any symptoms. That could set the world on Ebola-fire.

If it does get eradicated, it could be that the world dodged a very nasty bullet.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

It's like the seventies and the dark ages of Hiv in Africa. Another decade and then all hell will break loose. :nono:

Yeah, when ebola evolves to aerobic transmission ....
these are things we think we know
these are feelings we might even share
these are thoughts we hide from ourselves
these are secrets we cannot lay bare.
