No beetles named after Beatles!

The Pennylane the Beatles sing about is a traffic circle and a bus stop. It has a small building that was a pub for a while, when tourists were more numerous.

Or actually more of a traffic triangle:

Thanks be that the Fab Four don't have any really big Xmas numbers. We'd be driven insane, hearing it 10,000 times every December. :banghead:

It wasn't ugly at all. I thought it was a beautiful cry. The thing about that video that really worried me, however, was that cake. I was terrified the girl was going to elbow the cake.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

I always loved the Beatles' Christmas messages. The local radio station would play them every year, even throughout the 70s. I wonder if they were ever released on CD in some form or another?

An odd link? Something about an album.
Beatles '65 was the grand finale of our first Beatle year. Next year's grand finale would be the paradigm-shifting Rubber Soul. EMI and Capitol continued the practice of putting out new music in time for holiday gift giving, not only through the Beatle years, but to this very day!
It hints at some 2014 product. The Capitol albums all came out earlier.

But if you are attached to the track order, here it is. It has the awful Mr Moonlight!

Just finished Hunter Davies' Beatles lyrics book. It has pictures of scrap papers with early stages of songs, and also hand written finals. Printed lyrics follow. The hand holding songs do not need much analysis. The later songs need some odd phrases explained. Davies was there for two years as biographer, so he saw some songs come to life. Paul constructed songs with a melody in mind and some bits of words. Often, bits of lyrics left over or sitting around were added to the current song. The Beatles contributed to the trend we have now: most rock songs do not make sense and rarely tell a complete story. I actually do not like Lennon's songs that do: No Reply has a stalker singing about an ex.

Songs such as Penny Lane have tight control of lyrics so it fits the subject, even strawberry Fields does, but I am The Walrus is bits and pieces again.
