Point me at a genuine example of a communist state, pray do. All I see is dictatorships under the banner of communism - not one bore any resemblance to the kind of communism envisaged by Marx. Stalinist Russia was far closer to Fascist Germany than anything even as moderately left-leaning as an Australian Labour govt.

There are none anymore, and perhaps, in a technical sense, there never were. However, I meant that countries which, in general, followed the Soviet model, have all become corrupted by the evil wiles of the decadent west...

My mom used this occasion to relate to me how her high school "senior trip" was rerouted to Bermuda due to "Castro coming out of the hills", and how she always felt a little shorted by the whole Cuban Revolution bit.

Because removing the embargo empowers the communists to perpetuate the evil they commit on their own people. The purpose of the embargo is to strangle the regime as much as possible without actually going to war against them, which is what we should do.

What you guys have to remember is that we're the good guys. And so we can do anything we want, even torture. Except when we do it it's not torture. Because we're the good guys. And so anything we do, no matter how evil, is not really evil. Not when we do it. It gets transformed into something good by the benefit of us being the good guys. It's really very simple.
