The American oilpatch is going to shit, like unregulated markets do after a 5 year boom. Hence the direction of industrial stock indices the rest of this quarter and most certainly the next.

Alaska, under wise Republican leadership these last 12 or so years, saw steady decline in oil revenues the whole time.
What's better, after a Big Oil media barrage, the people of Anchorage voted last October to have an oil tax fire sale, thus ensuring declining revenues for another decade. I say people of Anchorage, because Anchorage was slightly for it, and the rest of the State against it, and it passed by 2800 votes. BP and Xon paid ~$7000/winning vote over the other side, but saved tens of billions in ad valorem and other taxes over the next 10 years, which they would have paid in the 70s or 80s.

Ultimately though, their votes will make Alaska a less desirable place to live and do business, which will flush the free Republicans out and keep more of the military living on post, where they can't establish residence and Pavlov-vote for every fuckhead with an R. after his name before they get cycled back to Oklahoma.

Invest in yourself. Every $100 gram up a punk stock broker's nose was paid for by an investor somewhere.
