Seven Psychopaths. Was funny :D
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

How I Live Now, with Saoirse Ronan. Didn't quite know what to make of it. I did like it, though. And certainly beautiful to look at, thanks to the English countryside featured.

Agreed. Very interesting movie indeed.

Just saw "Interstellar." I was very impressed. It's not a techno-romp or an action-adventure, it's quite humanistic and touching, and while the technology is essential to the story, it never overwhelms it.

Ah, I thought I remembered you talking about this film, but couldn't find your post. Yeah, there were some aspects of this film I didn't care for. For instance, the oldest cousin being (possibly) telepathic. I thought that was unnecessary and distracting. But I find myself still thinking about this film a week after I've watched it. It's a powerful film, in its way, I think owing to the wonderful performances. It's an unusual film, but in a good way.

Watched the newer The Omen movie. I like Liev Schrieber. And it was nice to see Prof Lupin and Dumbledore. But I thought film was just okay, nothing more.

Also watched The Killer Inside Me. Casey Affleck is very good at playing off-kilter characters.

Big Hero 6. The animation was absolutely gorgeous. And the interaction between the boy and his squishy robot was often cute, and the robot itself was funny. But everything else was rather tiresome.

Passengers.

Good movie. Too psychological though.

Just went and saw Interstellar. Strange movie making. Half the time it was a slow thoughtful drama and then the other half the time it was like Nolan forgot he wasn't directing a Batman movie. I spotted at least two glaring physics errors, and a whole lot of other potential ones with their speculative physics. But all in all it was an interesting enough movie to enjoy on the big screen.
Trigger Warning!!!1! :
The 'happy' ending was a bit of a disappointment as it always is in a potentially challenging movie. I thought it was a bit shit that they tried to downplay the happy ending by not showing him arriving at the planet with whatsherface on it..

I was surprised when the film ended, though. "Oh. Is that it?" I thought. Was it a short film? It seemed short to me. I thought there'd be more to it.
The ending of that film was about the only thing I enjoyed about it. I mean the ending scene, not the literal ending. ;)

It's a sublimely brilliant movie. As well as a awesome special effects for pretty low(ish) budget.

The Last Days on Mars. Excellent cast, decent acting, nice looking film, though overall rather humdrum. Got it free from the library, so no harm done. Worth a watch, at least.

Went to see The Hunger Games 2.0 or whatever it's called Mockingjay? Not sure it's the best way to take out a dam and surely attacking the transmission compound would be more astute if you wanted the lights back on after the revolution? Taking out jets with arrows? Could have been made ten times as sophisticated and realistic...characters typical cardboard and stereotype....for the unimaginative sci-fi genre of today. How it ends...
Trigger Warning!!!1! :
And so they ended the movie with Peter being mad and and doing the straitjacket dance...like you do after being tortured and brainwashed...maybe not, but in the movies it is the norm to stereotype.
