I would be (and am) more concerned about surfaces like the flush button, the door lock and door handles. Going by the number of public toilets that don't appear to be flushed, others are pretty paranoid about the flush button. Public toilets would seem to me to be the place that a diarrhoea and vomit inducing contagious disease would spread. I'm keeping my distance from them from now on.
