The problem isn't carbon. It's temperature. We know how much CO2 is being released, and how much is in the atmosphere.
What you need to prove is that it is responsible for the half of one degree warming, since carbon levels rose significantly.
Just saying that there X amount carbon, and we released it, doesn't prove that it has had any effect.

Global dimming from the many sources of industrial pollution putting sooty particulates in the air means global warming is already suffering a geo-engineering solution. When the modern industrial age ends and the heavy carbons are brought back on full whack the dimming will be even worse. Only a major population will crash will remove that dimming and its rather brutal reversing effect on the warming in the next few decades/centuries. As CO2 traps escaping heat high in the upper atmosphere, how does it get into the ocean without increasing global atmospheric temperatures? Is there a magic channel somewhere that I've missed?
What you are claiming is impossible. Heat travelling from high in the atmosphere, down into the ocean, without heating the stuff in between.

It's not so much trapped permanently, but absorbed by the extra CO2, then re-radiated in all directions as infra-red radiation, a certain amount of which heads downwards, to be absorbed by either land or ocean. Of course, that has always been the case, but increasing CO2 means increasing amounts re-radiated towards Earth...

Yes, I know that. But when you say ''a certain amount'' you're talking of a very small quantity.
More than half of what's re-radiated heads straight out into space. Most of the rest hits atmospheric molecules on the way down, warming the atmosphere. That's the essential part of the greenhouse effect. A small amount hits the land and sea directly.

But you can't have ALL of the extra infra-red going directly into land and sea. A high proportion will go into warming the atmosphere. We haven't measured any of that in the last 20 years.
So no warming of the atmosphere for the last twenty years indicates no extra energy input into the oceans or land.

Also, that missing heat would be measurable, in higher surface temperatures. It's not there.
Unless there is a mystery route for infra-red generated high in the atmosphere to dive down into the DEEP ocean, without hitting anything on the way, then the claim that the ''extra'' energy is accounted for in the deep ocean is a joke.

And of course, none of this was in the famous ''models''.
The atmosphere was supposed to show the warming. Not the deep ocean.
