I've sent her my portfolio including shots of me in a number of enticing yet comprising positions but I don't think it would have much relevance given that she hasn't been a mod in years. I can't speak on the issue of her having had a dossier on GS though, I never saw or heard about it.

Eh, I can't give up the place because there are some great people there and sometimes there are really interesting discussions (when they aren't being derailed with calls of "But theists do that sometimes so that thing is bad!" or with throwbacks to early 20th century logical positivist leanings where "if it isn't empirical, it doesn't exist!"), which is why it's silly when people like Metatron try to tell me I "hate" the place. I think there are problems with the functioning of bits of it and I find the discussion less than ideal sometimes but it doesn't mean I "hate" it - if I "hated" it then I wouldn't hang around because why the fuck would I bother spending so much time and energy being somewhere I hated?

As for trolling them, I'll leave that up to you. It's not my style and I have no real interest in disrupting everyone else's enjoyment for the sake of my own feelings.

There's certainly no way I'd use a username that was only one number away from being identical to another and then comment in threads I've commented in with the same types of comments that I would normally make. You may as well wave a flag saying "I'm a sock" and use the same IP address.

By the way, the only way you will make a sock they can't detect is to do it with a paid proxy service (or a totally new ISP). They banned all of mine where I used TOR (which is pathetic, as there would be atheists in theocratic countries across the world who would need to use TOR for their own safety). They also banned one where my IP address changed in the last two octets every time I turned my computer (and modem) on. The only way to do it is to get a legit new IP and also be forced to use a permanent IP address (i.e. a radically changing IP address will be flagged by the phpbb software addons). They are so paranoid about socks over there that there would be real legitimate users that are missing out on legitimate accounts.

If that's the case then so be it; I'd rather go out with a fizzle knowing that I was in the right than allow them the satisfaction of thinking that their insane accusations of me being a troll were true. If they ban me then I want them to know that there was absolutely no justification to their decision and whilst they'll tell everyone that they had "evidence" but conveniently couldn't share it with people (like their claims of me having a sockpuppet), I think secretly they'll know they were acting like assholes.

Perhaps but there are easier, and less dodgy looking, methods of creating a sock without a proxy.
