Maybe he just wants the place to function like it is an exemplar of rational thought. The actions of the mods there are far from rational, and the idiotic explanations of breaches of the FUA by THWOTH are some of the most illogical statements I have seen from a supposed rationalist. What the forum really needs is for LIFE to reanimate himself and get on there and make a clear statement about the goals of the site and the way the mod system will function going forward. Seriously, how hard is it for him to contribute one significant post in regards to the running of his forum? Unless I'm mistaken, he hasn't commented on any of the increasing turmoil there for years. The problem is that an increasing number of members view the mod team as undermining the goals of the forum while LIFE is in a virtual coma somewhere. He really needs to step forward and state exactly how things are going to be (whether that's different to the way they are now, or exactly the same as they are now) so people have confidence that the site owner is still in charge of the wayward ship.

On those two forums, rhetorical attacks were rightly regarded as attacks, as anyone with a functioning brain can see the attack. You'll get away with a lot more here than on those two forums, but it appears you are pushing your luck in your quest to be a martyr. I doubt everyone understand them just fine. I suspect most people don't give a fuck about them and are just polite and/or meek individuals. There's plenty of documented evidence throughout the feedback forum showing the inconsistency and rank subjectiveness of a lot of decisions. It's pretty clear that this is the case, as THWOTH's defence of the FUA is atrociously lacking in reasoning and logic. He is simply unable to explain decisions with anything more than a call to subjectiveness.

You are being very naive here rEv as there is little reasoning and logic to anybodies politics. Politics is just a few steps up from belief, it is the prejudices, values and influences from your childhood, family, background and surrounding of your lived experience. You should be intelligent enough to learn to when ever someone throughout history has found the ideal political solution, then censorship begins, then oppression and soon the body bags start mounting. Your political stance is no more reasonable and logical than mine or Seths and everyone on the planet for that matter. Your politics are just a part of you personality and that's why you think they are right and people who don't share them are wrong, the trouble is everyone else who into politics has the same attitude. Until you understand why people have different political views than you then your debates are just going to reach an impasse.
