Argentina versus Iran, first half. The Iranians are fielding a goalkeeper and ten other defendants. The Argentineans are stodgily drilling granite with uninspired set-pieces. I have not seen such a boring game since I stopped watching West Germany's Bundesliga all those years ago. Eventually, the Argies will probably get one through. They certainly had enough shots at goal so far, all of which went high, wide or simply innocuous. Some damp squib is bound to make it in the second half. Maybe. It's all a bit meh.
