Stupid law is stupid. That’s because of a New Jersey law passed in 2002 known as the Childproof Handgun Law, which says that all guns sold in New Jersey must be state-approved smart guns within three years of a smart gun being sold anywhere in the country.

The really, really, stupid - ultra-stupid law is the second amendment.

What will these anti-guns nuts think of next? Next thing toddlers won't be allowed to bring semi-automatics to kindergarten, and the US as we know it will be destroyed.

Re: Why the NRA are against Smart Guns
The law that stipulates that all guns sold 3 years after one of these smart guns is sold must be smart guns is stupid. Obviously people will react badly to having all regular guns removed from the shelves. Gun manufacturers will react badly to not being able to sell any of their current models. It's just a stupid law that provokes the reaction you're highlighting. I'm not even talking about the merits of the smart gun, just the stupid legislation that is obviously the cause for the backlash.
