I have nothing to watch, since the last Breaking Bad, because it was so good, I can't move on.

I started watching this show. I could stream it for free on amazon. I can stream a lot of shit for free on amazon but most of it is shit. It's hard to separate the wheat from the shit, as the expression goes. But this one looked like it might not be so bad. Gave it a chance. It's not bad. The Dresden Files. It's about a wizard in NYC (I think?) who hires himself out to people who need help, kind of like a cross between a private dick and a psychic. For a wizard, he doesn't do an awful lot of wizardly things. Low budget for the show, I imagine. For overall the show is surprisingly not lame (like most TV shows). The acting is solid and the scripts are decent and the dialogue is fairly natural and not cliche-ridden. It's a rather modest affair, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Sherlock Holmes, Brett.

Still the best rendition IMO.

I have it on DVD!

I've read the entire fantasy series on which it's based, The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher. Well worth a read.

The TV series was very different to the books in many ways, but had enough of a connection to be worthwhile...

PS - Tatt, it's set in Chicago... ;)

Tarantino's Death Proof, 2007. 2/3 of the way through and still waiting for something to happen.
