Nigel Evans trial: MP 'put hand down victim's trousers'

A man who alleges he was sexually abused by MP Nigel Evans has told a court the politician put his hand down his trousers twice during a night out in Soho.

The former deputy speaker of the House of Commons had a "reputation", Preston Crown Court heard.

The man said he dismissed the incident as "just Nigel being drunken Nigel".

Mr Evans, 56, denies one count of rape, two counts of indecent assault and six of sexual assault.

The alleged victim told the court that at first he thought Mr Evans was being tactile, but it was "not a sort of comedy squeeze".

(continued, ah, the comedy squeeze....delving into economic theory.... ) :coffee:

This is not necessarily incriminating.

Pubic figures have to make sure that they are not being secretly recorded. I'm sure he was just checking for microphones.

Hmm. In the late eighties I got pissed one night at an office party and one of the manageress pounced on me, started kissing my face and groping my balls. This was sort of common practice, I could know of literally four of five guys at the time who endured such traumatic horrors at the hands of female senior management. I wonder if I could get some cash from it or is it only people in the public eye that are allowed to be accused?

I remember at university, the girl in the room next to me getting absolutely plastered when we were all out one night and groping my crotch.

One of the most thrilling experiences of my life.

See, I don't get that. It turns me off.

I find it thrilling when you get a lot of resistance, and much persuasion and charm is needed, and you finally get you hand in her knickers.

Mind you, I would have no objections, if the girl was yummmy, I guess.

Edit : About Nigel Evans.
Actually, the ''victim'' doesn't consider himself a victim, and didn't complain.
He just answered truthfully, when interviewed by the police.
So he says, apparently. He still considers himself a friend of Evans, anyway.

:funny:
That was on today, an episode I've never seen.
I was remembering it as corny, but it was actually genuinely funny.
I laughed out loud several times. There's not much on the tv that makes me do that these days.
