Historian: George Patton Was Murdered by the CIA

In a new book published by military historian Robert Wilcox, World War II General George S. Patton was murdered by the CIA to cover up mistakes made during the Allied invasion of Europe.

Military Historian Robert Wilcox claims in a new book that World War Two General George S. Patton was murdered by CIA assassin Douglas Bazata to cover up the Allied forces mistakes that cost thousands of lives.
According to Mr. Wilcox, the CIA caused his car to crash, which has caused his official death of a blood clot twelve days later; then, as he lied in his hospital bed in Germany, he was poisoned.

In Mr. Wilcox's book, he believes that Gen. Patton was going to reveal devastating mistakes made by the Supreme Allied Command, which included the future Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower, “I don’t believe Eisenhower would ever have been elected president if Patton had lived to say the things he wanted to say.”

Mr. Eisenhower was a five-star general in the United States Army and served as Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe and led the invasion of France and Germany in 1944 to 1945. Seven years later, he became the first supreme commander of NATO.

“He was going to resign and spill wartime secrets that would have ruined careers.” Mr. Wilcox even found the former U.S. government assassin Douglas Bazata who admitted to him that he had a hand in the General’s death.

“He confessed to me that he had caused Patton’s ‘accident’ and that he had been ordered to do so by Office of Strategic services boss General William ‘Wild Bill’ Donovan.”

And why do people insist on referring to the OSS as the CIA? Or the NKVD as the KGB?

I read another historian's recent assessment that Senator McCarthy was actually paid by the Soviets during his time in the limelight in the early 1950s. He was at one point nearly bankrupt, was known to play cards and talk with an associate who was later arrested on espionage charges, and within a couple weeks of one meeting with him McCarthy produced his famous "list" of subversives, starting the witch-hunts and near-paralyzing of government that followed for several years.
I honestly found that story more believable than this one, although I always view the early years/decades of the OSS/CIA with a "who knows?" attuitude.

I've seen suggestions that McCarthy didn't actually have a list when he made that statement in West Virginia, and had to cobble one together quickly when asked for names.

Actually, the CIA is instrumental in implementing US foreign aid in many third world countries. Whenever there's wet work to be done they hire a local contractor to do the deed and pay him/her/it handsomely. This has proven effective in The Congo, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Pakistan, Dallas, and Memphis. They usually put an "advisor" with the locals to make sure that the job is done properly and in a timely fashion. Or so I'm told.
