Yeah, I think it was very good. You should check it out. And it's an anagram :{D

Yeah, I looked it up and it's supposed to be similar to Doctor Who except geared toward an older audience and with more mature themes/content. Sounds good. And I can also watch it through amazon for free :awesanta:

And I do think an episode of Doctor Who here or there where nothing bad happens, no danger, just a quiet interlude, would punctuate the series nicely. It doesn't have to be aliens and explosions all the time. In fact it's the quieter moments, just the interplay between the main characters having a chat or joking about, which I find most appealing. I understand you have to have action and conflict to move things along. I just don't think it has to be constant and ever present.

Oh and I watched that Neil Gaiman episode and, as much as I like Gaiman, wasn't particularly impressed :dunno:

Nearing the end of the fourth season now. The show seems to get better as it goes along. Great stories. Looks like David Tennent is bowing out at the end of this season. Too bad, as I really like him. On the other hand, the constant change in doctors and companions keeps things fresh.
So Capt Jack Harkness is The Face of Boe. Holy shit!
Also good to see Rose Tyler again. I'd become quite attached to her.

Aha! I thought something was up with that hand. Every time they showed an interior shot of the Tardis, the camera would linger for a second or two on that hand. Finally got used to make another Doctor.
Something curious I noticed, may be nothing but it may be something: after the Doctor wiped Donna's memory, he leaves and we see Donna chatting on the phone. She's wearing some sort of ring, a ring I never noticed before. And the light reflects off it. I'm assuming we wouldn't see that glint or flash of light for no reason. Hmm...
And speaking of rings, when The Master was burnt up in that funeral pyre, someone came and collected a ring from the ashes. Did he transfer his essence into that ring or something? :thinks:
Oh and the fake Doctor who makes a hot air balloon Tardis...that's The Governor from The Walking Dead, innit?

Yep David Morrissey, a fine actor.

I never dug the reboot of Doctor Who. I found Ecclestone too earnest, and Tennent's stories often submerged beneath overt British propaganda (especially the noxious flag waving olympics episodes). I endured it because the good lady did. Then Matt Smith turned up and in my opinion he and Stephen Moffat transformed the show. As much as I'm looking forward to Peter Capaldi, I think Smith might have been the best Doctor yet, though Tom Baker was also fantastic.

I think the ring was an engagement ring. Remember that the Doctor twice saved her from odd marriages - she's a serial engager! :tea:

Dalek: Exterminate! Ex-ter-mi-nate!
Doctor: Wait, hang on, let's talk a bit.
Dalek: A chin wag?
Doctor: Yes, while I work out how to defeat you.
Dalek: Okay then.

Not too keen on this fifth season. Matt Smith makes a great Doctor. He's funny and I like his peculiar mannerisms. But the companion, Amy Pond, leaves a bit to be desired. She's pretty, sure enough, and I like her accent. But she hasn't got much a personality to speak of and the writers aren't giving her much to do except be annoying. And speaking of the writers, the episodes I've watched so far are pants. It's mostly recycling old villains, while employing some unfortunate cliches, while sprinkling in a heavy measure of gaping plot holes and illogical behavior. I'm not feeling any real emotion yet or connecting with the characters at all like I did in the other seasons.

Huh, I fell in love with Matt Smith immediately. Amy took a little longer to grow on me, but she was pretty enough it didn't matter.

I didn't think much of Amy Pond, or Karen Gillan, until the episode "The Girl Who Waited". The older Amy was convincing, partly because of the make-up, but mainly because of the acting.

I nominate Xamonas Chegwe as the new Doctor, and Trinity as his Companion. I could easily see either of them saving the universe :awesome:
