3D Printed Gun Parts Found in Greater Manchester

Post by Clinton Huxley » Fri Oct 25, 2013 10:07 am

I suppose it was only a matter of time. Police have raided a house in Wythenshawe and found a 3D printer and printed plastic gun parts, as well as home made gunpowder. Thanks, America!

It's only a matter of time before toddlers are printing guns off and taking them to nursery.

Maybe the internet was a terrible mistake....

It might be a false alarm.
They just interviewed the man who was arrested, the owner of a shop. He is claiming that the parts were accessories for the printer, and definitely not part of a gun.
And the police are now saying they are not sure that the parts are gun parts, and have passed them to the ballistics department for more investigation.

It looks like the cops have given the game away. If you buy or hire a 3D printer in the UK, expect a visit.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

That means nothing of course - "well, he would (say that), wouldn't he?".

Of course, there may indeed be a perfectly innocent explanation for all this. :eddy:

I'd like to know how the police knew he'd bought a 3D printer and what made them think he was making gun parts.

Can we be sure the printer wasn't making the gun?

What a bunch of pathetic wankers the UK police are. I told you, again and again and again, that it's impossible to keep guns out of the hands of people who are determined to obtain them. Here's more proof.

I predict a rash of 3D printer thefts.

It's called "the surveillance state." Derp.

You think the NSA is the only intelligence organization peering over our shoulders every minute of every day? We're just the very best at it, and you never would have found out except for a traitor.

Nor is the NSA going to stop doing it, no matter how much France or anybody else bitches.

That is 100% true...

Serious criminals in Oz can certainly obtain them, whatever regulations or policing efforts may exist...

But the young, wannabe crims will find it very hard...

No drive-by shootings by young punks here.

(our serious crims tend to use their guns to kill criminal rivals, which doesn't exactly break my heart...)
