A long time ago, I started a thread back at RD.net on the music I remember from my childhood - and I mean childhood. I think it's still around. Maybe I should repost some of it here. :levi:
God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place within organized religion. - Superintendent Chalmers

It's not up to us to choose which laws we want to obey. If it were, I'd kill everyone who looked at me cock-eyed! - Rex Banner

Do that!!
It's funny actually, because I spent probably half of my childhood with my grandparents so also had the likes of Perry Como et al although the weirdest thing to come out of their record cabinet (and I adored it!) was "mouldy old dough" by lieutenant pigeon!

I am very well acquainted with Perry Como as it so happens - our father was a biiiig fan . He had a very particular way of singing along as well. He was also a big fan of certain other acts I won't mention now.

Anyway, I will resurrect that thread here, as long as you promise to spend enough time here to read it and to contribute yourself. :P

Man, this is getting weirder by the minute.

I wasn't allowed to listen to such far-out music in my formative years. :lay:
