A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Having been an atheist scout in my youth, and being the father of two atheist scouts today, I strongly agree with this. The scouts of Finland went through this discussion just a few years ago, and chose to keep God in the promise. One strong reason that was then given was that the international scouting community wouldn't allow anything else. Doesn't seem to have been a completely true statement. :nono:

Anyway. All scouting I, or my kids, have ever taken part in has been almost completely secular in practice. :cheer:
