Could This Really Be Edward Snowden in Russia?

Edward Snowden has apparently been living a life of poverty in Russia, surviving on meager charitable donations.
A photo from Russia’s Life News purports to show the admitted National Security Agency whistleblower after an apparent grocery run.
Is This Really Edward Snowden in Russia?

Snowden’s lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena, reportedly confirmed the photo’s authenticity and said Snowden is considering a job in publishing or journalism.
From a rough Google translation, via Gawker: “this photo shows that he lives, as many live in Russia… and it should be noted [he] is quite poor… at the moment he is living on donations… However, the money he has left is very little.”
The weird thing about the photo is that it goes against Kucherena’s earlier claim that Snowden sneaks around in disguises. It would appear not.

Well, almost agree. I think he ought to be burned at the stake outside the gates of Arlington Cemetery. But freezing to death while hungry sounds fine too. Almost compassionate and merciful given what he did, really.

Interesting you should mention Blackwater. Their North Carolina facility is called "Academi Training Center" now. I'm scheduled for a firearms training course there shortly. I was in Elizabeth City for a day or two and drove up to Moyock to find the place. I will say this, they are far more serious about their security than they were last time I was there, right after the Columbine massacre. I doubt very much he thought that. I'd like to see him pardoned - he committed crimes, but he brought to light things that were very much in the public's interest to know.
