Well, shit. The gubmint is shut down. I need to get to bed though, as I have to go in tomorrow anyway: us useless government bureaucrats have to report as usual and receive a written letter telling us to go away. I can stay up to four hours wrapping up what I can though.


After a few days maybe I'll walk a protest line outside the Capitol. Holding a sign that says something like "Unpaid Intelligence Analyst. Very high security clearance. Will talk shop for $$$. пожалуйста."

I'm not surprised I still get pay, but it is nice to know the critters aren't quite obtuse enough to not pay their military.
