The people smashing shit up are probably largely juvenile people without a clear reason for why they hate what they supposedly do. But within those groups will be some more peaceful true anarchists and libertarians. That's the thing. The Occupy and anti-IMF crowd aren't solely "left". They are probably more accurately averaged out more towards the centre. But they are on the "libertarian" side of the up/down axis.

ETA: I should also add, there's a marked difference between wanting to disrupt society as a form of protest, and wanting to kill people.

I like suppressors because you can shoot without ear protection.

They are also quite helpful when teaching others to shoot since you don't have to wear hearing protection and it is easier to train them since you don't have to shout the whole time and just hope they heard what you said.

They are also quite useful for cutting down on noise pollution so people who live next to a range, or have to be my next door neighbor, don't have to hear loud gun fire.
