I don't know about the phones, but on my laptop, the fingerprint reader doesn't look anything like a key. And you have to swipe your finger across it, so it reads it like a scanner. Fingerprint identification + GPS tracking, I bet 1984 never thought of that.

Fingerprint identification + GPS tracking, I bet 1984 never thought of that.
So I don't think they could get a print from normal use. And the fingerprint key would be obviously different anyway.
So if you didn't like it, you could just put tape over it.
