There is no such thing as a "dangerous breed," there's only "dangerous dogs."

But, lets suppose that such a law did exist but he was still attacked by the same dogs. What did he need that he didn't have?
This is incorrect. Some breeds are bred more for fighting than others. Not all dog breeds are the same.

No it's not. Shooting is unique, because it makes pathetic wankers feel powerful. It messes with small minds.
I've often noticed that it's the least intelligent, who love guns the most. If you plotted stupidity with love of guns, you would find that the graphs matched perfectly.

I've seen the glazed look that comes over a moron's eyes, when they pick up a gun. And you get the same picture, through the words posted on gun threads.

It's not just another sport, it's for wankers.
Which just goes to show us that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Time for Anabuse.

This is incorrect. What a breed is "bred for" has nothing whatever to do with how a dog behaves, which is demonstrated by the millions of pit bulls who don't eat people.

Have you ever heard about a chihuahua eating someone or inflicting serious wounds in a surprise attack :ask:

Actually, yes. Small dogs are some of the worst biters there are, and they can and do cause severe injuries. Don't know of any eating anyone, but I'm sure it's happened somewhere. After all, cats have eaten their masters from time to time. Any dog that's hungry enough will snack on a helpless victim.

But that's not the point at all. The point is that all dogs bite, but they don't bite because of their breed, they bite because of their training or lack thereof. Now a pit-bull bite may be far worse and more dangerous than a chihuahua's, but I'd venture a guess that Chihuahuas bite human beings far, far more often that pit bulls do, it's just that they don't generally kill them or attack in packs and are easily defended against.

Why, I've seen with my own eyes an Autoloader jump up, run outside and randomly shoot passersby. Wait, maybe that was the mescaline. Anyway, I locked mine in the gun safe after a stern talking to, no problems since. If you treat them like pit bulls they generally do what they're told.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

There's a little bit of the gun-moron in everybody.
We evolved it. It's not surprising that it's there. Using weapons is what made us a successful species, so it's bound to have had an effect on the evolution of our brains. It's perfectly natural for a weapon to make you feel safer and stronger, and be an attractive thing to own.

It's just a question of how much, and whether people ever grow up and grow out of it.

We have inherited lots of instincts that were useful in the stone-age, which are now bad, and we need to repress.
You see it at football matches, we control the natural tribal aggression. Or the instinct to rape, we now suppress it.

This weapons instinct is in the same category. It's obsolete in a civilised society, but it's still there. There's no shame in experiencing it, but it's the morons who wallow in it, and define themselves by it.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Maybe I should brag about what a good driver I am. I am WAY better than a nine year old in a go-kart, I'll tell you that! I drive a real car and I'm quite good at it. Maybe I couldn't win the Indy 500 even if I had the right vehicle, but I've had loads of practice and I'm more than proficient at driving.

See how silly it sounds to brag about that? And driving is at least a far more valuable skill than marksmanship, professional infantrymen excluded.

After your daughter's rifle practice or after being in a car I was driving? :ask:
