What fucking adult attaches a label to themselves as it is beyond pathetic. Can anybody have their whole world experience and beliefs summed up in one or a few words. How simplistic must your world view be to be able to do that. Think how complex and complicated your interactions are with the world at large is. Think how nounce your inter species reactions are, your human relationships are going to be stellar, can you really pigeon hole them into a box. It is very sad that people limit themselves in such a way, curtailing your imagination rather than embracing it, looks like crabs in a bucket to me.

Who classifies people as "adults'? How can you say that the complex combination of levels of emotional, cognitive and physical maturity can be summed up in a single word?

It should be clear from my paragraph that I'm not advocating banning of labels as you point out I used one in my post, same goes for 'car', 'house' etc. It is just a stupid way to sum up your life preconceptions.

Who should label themselves "skeptic" for that matter? I've seen a lot of my fellow atheists repost some stuff on Facebook without doing the relevant fact checking and get Snoped. It's even happened to me once. Once!

The answer to your question is that ethnic feminists are realizing that the feminist movement is just for the benefit of white middle class women and nobody else needs are allowed to get in the way of this.

How many writers at Jezebel, Slate, the HuffPo Women, the Frisky, xoJane and any other number of feminist blogs have nannies and housekeepers who work, most likely, without standard labor force protections and benefits that white ladies pretty much take for granted?

How many white feminists writers stop in the middle of their oh-so-important work to text the nanny not to forget about Imogen’s dentist appointment and the bus fare is on the table?

So what's the answer? I suppose I should read the rest of the article to definitively confirm that there is no answer to these well-poisoning rhetorical questions. I'm not party to the party so I'm not sure, various twitter comments, which seem these days to constiute evidence for some reason. It could be as you say some MRA's taking the piss, or it could be a set of genuine grievances from black and hispanic women. To be honest I can see it being one which has been jumped upon by the other, but I'm not sure which way.

The article doesn't really convey very well the ethnic position with regards to feminism. Most of the arguments I have witnessed are about white middle class women going for high power jobs (nothing wrong with this of course) but they are employing the ethnic women as maids and nannies. They ignore race and religious issues and just concentrate on gender issues.
