Sure it does. I can never give birth to a baby. That's inequality based on difference.

I'm not sure that feminism can be solely or even at all described as being about equality.
It seems to me that humanism is about equality.
I know that most people who support equality interpret feminism as being a movement or an attitude in support of equality. But the intellectual leadership and the activists of feminism, and therefore those who articulate the ideology see it differently. So, when many people hear the word feminism today, they interpret it in light of this different ideology.
I'm a humanist. I believe that men and women should have equity and equality in society. Of course, this is more easily said than defined.
The worst I got was the view that gender is
entirely a construct presented as an unquestionable fact plus a few bits of typical lit-crit overreach.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

In my case it was in Ethics, Sociology and Psychology classes, such were part of my nursing training but my college was a separate entity to the University where these classes were held I found a marked difference between the attitude of "bloody students" and the majority of our own college, who were primarily young women of the same age. I guess when you actually have to work towards a degree you don't have much time or energy to put the world to rights between pints of snakebite.

It's kind of chintzy, with ribbons and flourishes. There's a lot of taffeta too - some might say too much taffeta. And I am not fond of the scent - too heavy on the sandalwood.
It moves in a peculiar way, sort of lurching on wheels that are too small for its axles and its bearings squeak going round corners. It only speaks Jamaican patois, which can be problematical - especially when you factor in its lisp.
There is an upgrade due, I hear, perhaps they will fix the intermittent flouncing problem - but I'm not holding my breath.

I think Judgybitch goes too far in the other direction sometimes but at least this article with links shows how feminism is a white middle class mean girls club.

solidarityisforwhitewomen?
Mean, unfair but right on the fucking money. I recall reading something a while ago where some loon was trying to encourage atheism to be more inclusive of black people (or POC, seriously we're back to that?) but their "things to lure credibility meat" were all so stereotypical of "black" affected by gang culture n drugs etc that it became obvious that while their intentions might have been good, they are fucking clueless. Thery're the type that rail and shout for equality and shit themselves when immigrants move into their suburban neighbourhoods. I wonder how many of them would be comfortable losing their whinespace to let the real Black or Hispanic or Asian communities speak?
