Gotta remember in Engerland Castlemaine is sold as "beer".
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Now that's funny, because I've always regarded Champagne as shit, and could never understand how people can drink it.

It's not that I don't like fizzy white wine, I quite like Asti Spumante, but even the pricier Champagnes taste shit to me.

Likewise with English drinks, these cask beers leave me stone cold. Give me a cold Guinness any day, so long as the lines are regularly cleaned.

In the South of France, I just buy the cheapest red plonk in plastic bottles. It's what I like. For some reason, the cheaper stuff usually tastes better to me.

Same with Cigars, I like them all, but the manky big cheap Spanish ones is what I like the best.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

White Bordeaux (barring the Sweets like Sauternes and Ste Croix du Mont that are not properly "bordeaux") is piss, give me white Burgundy or Loire wine any day... or better, Greek retsina and Muscat.

I can't drink retsina, tastes like turpentine to me. I do like cheap Portuguese vino verde. Nice with a big bucket of raw oysters and boiled shrimp.

Now I've read it all:
"Wine snobs" who prefer rat-piss Asti Spumante to proper Champagne, and bat-piss Retsina to a nice white Bordeaux.

THREAD LOCKED.

Whoaaaaaaa!

Greek Retsina :|~ The let's age our wine in pine barrels stuff? They should run you out of France for that :dq:

Bordeaux produces SUPERIOR reds (as well as some shit ones, and everything in between). It also produces some very nice whites. And some shit ones, and everything in between.

All wine is good wine, if you are drunks enough.

I'll need your expertise, because I never found the nice ones in white. Guess I've been spoiled by the good stuff.

Believe me, when I get drunk enough to enjoy bad plonk, more than just wine has generally been recently involved.

I choose to drink this wine not because it is easy but because it is hard
