Fatberg. Sounds like a Dick Tracy villian or something, though should be pronounced "Fatboig".

That is honestly one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard of. Apparently one of the main culprits is non-flushable baby wipes. If we let the little nippers runs about unclothed, shitting where they pleases, we wouldn't have these problems.

It's illegal for commercial premises to chuck fat down the drains. If they can trace where it came from, there will be a big fine. But it's not easy to prove. I know someone who had a chip shop, and they were chasing him for old oil that appeared in a drain. But he wasn't prosecuted.
I have to admit, I've dumped tiny quantities down the loo once or twice. Chicken fat is useless for cooking, and messy to bin.
But now I put it in plastic bottles and bin it.
