That's hardly an anecdote, and I'm sure you realize being in the UK that I have a very valid point regarding those Muslim gangs who readily admit they target white girls for specifically racist reasons.

Grooming gangs in Rotherham, Derby, Bradford, Blackpool, Telford, and Oxford are just the tip of the iceberg it transpires. The BBC reported the figure of 54 grooming gangs under investigation was cited by former Labour Attorney General Lord Morris of Aberavon in the House of Lords. Morris raised the question:
"Is it collective amnesia that has blinded us to the underlying circumstances, whereby at least 27 police forces are investigating 54 alleged child grooming gangs? Why has investigating and prosecuting in so many different parts of the country taken so much time? Is it the fear of racialism, or is it the fact that many of these vulnerable girls come from care homes?"
Thus far the majority of convictions obtained against the child sex grooming gangs have been against men of Pakistani origin that have exploited, repeatedly gang-raped and sexually tortured vulnerable young girls over long periods. However, according to the Independent "on-street grooming is not the sole preserve of Asian men" and "the most detailed research on the phenomenon so far found that, in 43 per cent of cases, the abusers were white." Figures cited by the deputy children's commissioner also state that 28 percent of victims are from ethnic minority groups.
Applied math and what the Independent claims, 57% of the abusers are non-White and 72% of the victims are white.

Your claim was that racist attacks had shot through the roof since the time of the Steven Lawrence murder. I asked for official figures to support this and you provided me with a specific anecdote. I don't deny the racist (or, more accurately, cultural and religious) nature of the grooming gangs (although the official stance contradicts that view).
What I do question is whether this represents any increase (let alone a "through the roof" increase) in the totality of racist attacks which is what I asked you to prove!

I believe in the video it clearly states that the problem first started in the early 90's, which coincidentally was about the time of the Steven Lawrence murder. From zero to fifty three gangs under current investigation with the possibility of thousands of victims over a roughly twenty year period I think qualifies for through the roof. I'm just going to ignore the attempted hijacking of thread and point out that there are more serious underlying issues, namely the House of Lords itself and what to do with it. So many new lords & ladies have been added that there is now literally not enough room. Reform seems a long way off.

I must admit I know very little about the House of Lords other than they can sometimes reject things that parliament tries to put through. I generally consider new members there to be probably a good thing to avoid it just being a bunch of grumpy old men, but I don't know if that's what it is any more anyway.
