Horse in McDonald's: Rider fined after 'drive-thru' refusal
A woman has been fined for taking her horse into a McDonald's restaurant in Greater Manchester.
Police said the woman, who has not been named, was in the saddle when she was initially turned away from the drive-through kiosk on Bury New Road.
The woman then led the animal inside, where it "ended up doing his business on the floor", a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said.
McDonald's said it was unable to serve customers on horseback.
A girl riding a pony also went through the McDonald's 'drive-thru' with the woman.
(continued, horse outside a burger makes a change?)

She should have gone to the "ride through" window in the first place.

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Apparently an elderly woman fainted at the sight of the horse in the restaurant and banged her head on the edge of the table as she fell. She was taken to hospital by paramedics but is said to be in a stable condition.
Sorry.

I've heard of people taking a horse through a drive through atm and restaurant in some farm towns in the US.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

I like driving a tank or other armored vehicle through the drive through. They always serve me.

Re: Horse in McDonald's: Rider fined after 'drive-thru' refu
In one local McDonalds near me they had to put up a sign to tell people (mostly from the pub next door) to stop walking through the drive through for service. I walked that one a couple of times when I was younger and drunker. But I've also had to avoid drunken idiots when I've been trying to drive through in my car. Probably a good call. Although, then they had to put up with drunks inside the actual store.

We had a McD's on one base I used to visit regularly, Camp Pendleton. I had a picture of a line of M-60 tanks lined up at the drive-thru there, c. 1985.rEvolutionist wrote:In one local McDonalds near me they had to put up a sign to tell people (mostly from the pub next door) to stop walking through the drive through for service. Maybe it was one particular part of the horse that made her faint?Brian Peacock wrote:Apparently an elderly woman fainted at the sight of the horse
So you should be. You could have reined in the urge to pun. But no, once you got the bit between your teeth, you just had to saddle us with that one.Brian Peacock wrote:She was taken to hospital by paramedics but is said to be in a stable condition.
