All I'm hearing is butt-hurt in your retort. Especially in the last line. You've made it personal.

In what way isn't The Lone Ranger "safe, bland, cliched tripe"?

Well, for a big blockbuster summer type of film, it's got a lot of surprises and is very idiosyncratic.

In what way does The Lone Ranger "challenge" the viewer.

Hmm. Well it challenges the viewer by not being what they might expect. It's got some originality to it. It's also fairly dark in places, and gives the viewer something to think about, something they may not like thinking about.

Not being sarcastic. Haven't seen it. Just asking.
Now, I'm not saying this film is some kind of masterpiece or anything. But I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable and well worth seeing. It was actually worth going out to a theater and seeing it on a big screen. And everything these critics are saying, their criticisms are the very reasons I liked this film. Everything they hated about it, I loved about it.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

And it could easily be said that you have a slavish addiction to other people's opinions.

I'll wait for more views (from people I know, not critics) before I consider watching it. The whole "From the makers of POTC" tag puts me right off. I hated 2 out of 3 of those films.

Which line, Ani? :ask:

I don't think I'm butt-hurt. Just baffled :dunno:

The Zilla and Ani Show - Zilla loves everything, Ani hates everything. You should get together and do movie reviews. I'd watch it....

Not at all. I'm just trying to gauge this film. I might be interested, I might not. Tattchu has an opinion which is the opposite to everyone (not just critics) and that makes me interested.

I'm not a big fan of those films, although the first one was fun. This film was more like Rango than Pirates.

The last line saying they were jealous of Jack Sparrow. Reminded me of this...

EDIT: The character is a movie critic, on an M. Night movie :hilarious:

Sorry, but I just don't rage on about movies I have no intention of watching. And I don't need other people to tell me which ones that will be.

(Well, Ayaan has some input. :levi:)

I probably will watch it now. And then you'll all be sorry.

Was never a fan of DC. Always preferred Marvel. At least they know they're ridiculous. Still, could be good. Though it is directed by the guy who made Sucker Punch (hah! forgot to mention that in your trailer when you boasted, "From the director of 300/Watchmen).
