You may remember Praveen? He was the husband of Savita Halappanavar,
who died tragically after being refused an abortion. Anyway, seems the Pro-Lfe brigade were sending him death threats after the incident.
PRAVEEN Halappanavar has spoken of how he received hate mail in the aftermath of the death of his wife Savita.
Speaking to Miriam O’Callaghan on RTE Radio this morning, he spoke of how campaign groups have been targeting him.
“I have been receiving abusive letters from different campaigners”, he said.
“There is one particular campaigner who writes again and again has told me to leave the country, and to fix the mess in my own country before I try and fix any mess here – it’s quite hurtful.”

Doesn't surprise me as Health Minister, James Reilly, it turned out in our local newspaper, though not the national newspaper (he lives up the road from me), has also being receiving death threats for his part in the new
in the new abortion bill.

Did they ever catch the kidnappers? You know, the ones that spirited them away from India against their will.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Maybe I'm no expert, but they don't look Irish to me. Since they don't like Irish laws, I can only assume they were brought there against their will.

What has his like or dislike of Irish laws got to do with scum-bags sending him death threats? Also, I'm not actually sure where either of them were born, they could actually be Irish. Plenty of Irish people aren't white gingers.

Have you fucked off back to where your ancestors came from yet?
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

You can't compare the above to the low rent provocations of Tyrannical. His wasn't even funny.

I think Ty should go back where he came from, Africa. Oldavi Gorge, exactly.

Well, I think it IS his disagreement with Irish laws that are causing the death threats, so it has everything to do with it.
And it doesn't matter where they were born, they aren't Irish. Of course you could go to Belfast and argue differently

No surprise though. You should see what they've been sending politicians.
