I flew from the UK to Hong Kong the first time on a prop plane - not sure what - probably a Boeing. It took three days with stops to refuel along the way. I was only a kid but I remember how bumpy it was and how much my ears hurt.

A few years later we flew by Trident and it took a day and a half.

I have a 1/72 scale kit of that (unassembled) that you will prise from my cold, dead fingers. :)

Oddly enough, I also have a kit of the DC-6 that I bought at the same time.
