All this "honor" killing is over men scared s shit that they can't be manly if they don't control women.
So I suggest that "honor" killings should be punished by the castration of all the men who are found guilty of participation.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

In all seriousness ... I think the desire to free themselves from patriarchal tyranny has to come from them first .. but yes, I'd support oppressed women in taking such action, to defend themselves, and/or to impose a revolution.

God point. As much as some of the men annoy the hell out of me, the general attitudes might be a little more diffuse. I've heard that hundreds of women came out in Yemen to protest to keep FGM.
