Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
Just on CNN:
God collapsed a Bangla Desh factory, so he could save a person 17 days later. Miracle! Next time you atheist pull the no miracles card, I will present this.
God also lured millions to settle in godforsaken Bangladesh so he could perform miracles daily.

Splaining stuff to fundies.
He
He
MeI always thought the opposite. Before QP the world seemed very solid and real, now it seems like an illusion of our minds trying to cope with the fact that particles are imaginary.
It's kind of a failure of science education to get college kids to think that way. They do not get enough experimental science to realize that things are just as "real" as before they knew some really "mind blowing" things. Most matter on the planet is till matter. It is not going anywhere for a long time. And just because matter is made of smaller particles does not make it "empty" and "full of nothing."
Matter is very manipulable and can be as real as anything we see or experience. It's not a bad way to think of matter as solid and real, as most of it is in 3D the same way as large objects are.

Let's see if I get a smite for this, I only have 4.
Wilson, since everything in the Bible is true, how many hands have you cut off by now? And more of a technical question, how did you cut off the second one?

Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
I finally got a minus Karma point:
If it is in the bible, it is true.
I'll answer that if you could tell me:
Whose hands were cut off in the Bible?
Quote
27 "You have heard that it was said, `You shall not commit adultery.' 28 But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.
Not just the hand, also the eye. The disciples were led around by Jesus, and are mostly clueless. I believe all of them cut off their hands after masturbation. One disciple had one hand left as he had to cut the second one off the others. They also plucked off one eye each as they lusted after married women and tried to masturbate as best they could.

Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
They won't leave our sacred rocks alone:
http://www.amazon.com/Smithsonian-Handb ... ewpoints=0This book contains a little bit of propaganda in support of Darwinism/macro-evolution and the Big Bomb which ruins the whole book. A mentally ill evolutionist narcissist would rate a creationist book one star for promoting creationism in a single sentence, and yet this book has five evolutionist claims, all without evidence, without even a single reference to evidence that Earth is millions of years old (how convenient for these propaganda weasels).
This is typical hypocritical propaganda that relies on pretty pictures and "professional talk" to bolster its evolution-related anti-Bible propaganda, so my one star is deserved.

Catch of the day:

Since no atheist can present evidence for atheism can atheism ever be rational?
Discuss.
iduno what you wish to gain by making this thread. it seems you are trying to prove to yourself that atheists are just as irrational as religious people. like bring us down to your own level in your own mind. you can believe what you want but you cant prove anyone wrong by defending the silly teachings of that book. you beleive only what you want to beleive, that is all i can say about you from what you've been posting.
youve probably been programmed as a child to believe in religion. now that your older all the ideas have been forged into your mind and whatever you hear that contradicts those ideas is automatically ignored and tossed out the window. ya cant think for yourself, you use the bible to think for you. you seem to be a god fearing person, i was afraid of god i a child too. i was scared if i didnt listen to what the bible said i would go to hell.

Creationist owns muscle cars, tropical fish. Read the autobiography of Lumpy from Leave It To Beaver.

Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
The Fundie had read some book about the Goldilocks Universe god designed.
My response:
Not sure what philosophical term this would fall under. Fatalism?
But in any case it is just possible that the physical constants are a property of matter and space. They could not be anything else.
Just as you are proof thay matter exists, matter is proof that the constants are right. A hydrogen atom at 1.2 Ångstroms is perfect.
