Why should I care about idiots accidentally shooting each other and why should I be okay with losing my freedom because of idiots?
Stupidity is self-eliminating from the gene pool.

I think we should issue every 18 year old one of these:

If they survive a year carrying it concealed every day, they get one of these:

In case you hadn't noticed, you already lost your freedom. The latest, but not only sign, being the government tracking the phone calls of millions of people. The USA has entered the realm of the totalitarian and oppressive regime. Quick. Pull out your hand gun and shoot a government official, and see if that fixes the problem.

Right now, it is my country, Australia, Canada, Britain, and others that are free. We look pityingly at you enslaved Americans.

Yes, I am appalled by overreaching of government. I also think that the "Patriot" Act should be repealed.

But, I still have my guns and I can still buy them if I want. You cannot.

It's unlawful spying and a massive invasion of privacy that I am totally against, but it's not restricting my freedom or keeping me from doing what I want. More gun control laws however, would restrict me and keep me from doing what I want. Prohibition laws that make me a criminal for merely possessing an object, hurt and restrict me a much more than being spied on by the government. But, I agree with neither.

Almost certainly they do the same in the countries you mentioned above, if there is any legal problems with it you just do the monitoring abroad and swap the data
When only criminals carry guns the police know exactly who to shoot!

Repeal the 2nd amendment:
http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/12/opinion/o ... un-control

especially leave the militias part out. This would leave it up to the states what arms are allowed in that state.

Good luck with that.

And in Colorado, it wouldn't make a whit of difference, because Colorado's Constitution says “[t]he right of no person to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or in aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall be called in question; but nothing herein contained shall be construed to justify the practice of carrying concealed weapons.”

Which is why open carry is lawful without a permit, but concealed carry requires a permit.

To Tero

That is unbelievable stupidity.
How the hell can they justify such verdicts?

I'm fine with the first two. The third is indeed a travesty. She should have just gone ahead and shot him dead. At least she'd have the comfort of knowing he wouldn't be there 20 years from now to have another go at her.

All three are a travesty of justice. Think of the guy saying that the guy bonking his wife had to be raping her! Well duh!!

All three cases are a disgrace to the American judicial system.

Well, I submit that he knows his wife...or thought he did...better than you do. Not everybody's wife cheats on them, and it's perfectly reasonable that seeing one's wife of however many years being screwed by a stranger one might conclude that the man on top of her is raping her, and of course rape is one of those crimes specifically mentioned in the law as justification for the use of deadly force.

If he thought she'd been cheating on him, he would have likely shot BOTH of them.

Your left-wing, criminal coddling flatly deranged opinion is noted...and rejected.

Seth

You are being deliberately naive. The guy came home, saw his wife bonking another man, pulled out a gun and fired. That was a case of acting on anger, which is murder. Pure and simple.

If he thought it was possibly rape, he still did not have to fire that gun. He had all the time in the world to take alternate action, which would have left the 'rapist' with a long prison sentence. No. He killed the man who was enjoying a good bonking session with his wife out of anger. It was murder, pure and simple.

One day, Seth, you might actually surprise me by saying something intelligent.
