You're not paying close enough attention, Ian. Go read up on the UN weapons treaty we just signed. Then look at all the attempts to ban guns, magazines and other firearms regulations the Senate is trying to pass. Then go look at what Obama actually said about guns, both in the far past and recently.

You bet your ass he's after our guns. He always has been. He's a Marxist and a Progressive and he knows the government can't become what he and his ilk envision so long as the people have arms. He's just very good about lying, dodging and ignoring questions about his gun policy.

I'm going to celebrate that we withstood another major Marxist/Progressive/Democrat attack on our gun rights, and I'm going to revel in the fact that the Dems will lose the Senate in the Mid-term elections because they went insane with power, created the most corrupt government the US has ever endured, and has alienated even staunch Democrat supporters with their radical ideology.

Don't be silly if you leave it full we will prosecute you for endangering burglars lives (someone did sue the council for making it to easy to break into , they broke they back diving into it when it was closed and last I herd they at least partially won)

You say that like it would be wrong. In any civilized country, the physical well being of the burglar would take priority over the property of a negligent homeowner who should have taken more reasonable steps to secure a dangerous item.

I don't think you are allowed swimming pools in the UK, as the government can't protect the population from drowning.

They issue swimming licenses and all pools are registered. Licensed swimmers have monitors implanted in their bellies that ring the bobbies if food is consumed less than 30 minutes before swimming.

That's just not correct. The Democrats have been seeking to introduce bills to severely limit gun and ammo ownership, and many of them have stated publicly what they would do if they had their druthers -- like have gun owners turn them all in. Obama certainly would support a gun ban, but he is savvy enough to know that it would not be politically expedient to say so. So, he does his "have cake and eat it too" strategy -- he announces how much he respects both sides of the debate, announces that we have a problem with guns, declares that we can have "sensible" gun regulation without infringing on the right to keep and bear arms, and says bring me a bill that strikes a balance and I'll sign it -- then, whatever comes out of Congress he will declare to be balanced.

In 2000, he cosponsored a bill to limit gun purchases to 1 per month. He favored the assault style weapons ban. He favors a ban on SEMIauto guns.

He opposed a law that would have protected gun manufacturers from being sued when people shot people with guns (like suing Becker or Buck if someone stabs a person with a knife they manufactured).
