Aw.. I think he's gun shy. :hehe:

As soon as I have about $4000 free cash floating around my next rifle will be the Sako TRG-42 in .338 Lapua. I'll post pics.

I had to RMA my new 32gb set of RAM to Newegg because 1 of the sticks was bad, so until I'm off the laptop, this is it for now.

The nightstand gun. Glock 19 with Streamlight TLR-2 loaded with Winchester PDX-1, 124 grain JHP 9mm Luger +P.

Winning? Really?

That's funny. Because from where I'm sitting... clearly, I am "winning."

Or I couldn't have these, could I?

I have to say that these AR's and modern pistols etc. don't do much for me, interest-wise. For some reason, I find air rifles/pistols more interesting.
I think if I were able to persue (non-air)guns as a hobby then I would prefer to go the black powder route. Hence my interest in FBM's cap'n'ball jobbie, I suppose. - What I'd really love is a long land pattern Brown Bess replica or perhaps a couple of Wogdon & Barton or Purdy replica duelling pistols. :eddy:

Down to 5 at the moment.

Ruger Mini-14 Rancher, Remington 878 Automaster (1960 model, I think), 1917 Steyr M95 cavalry carbine (8x56mm), 1944 Walther P38, Sig P238 (Mrs. Lak's). They come and go, but I'm keeping these. Gave my 10/22 to my sister, she needed a varmint gun for her North Carolina cabin, and a Savage 110 in 30 06 to my daughter. Somewhere there's an old Marlin model 60, maybe in the attic at my parents house. I need to get over there and take a look around. Dad had an old Savage over/under, 12 gauge on the bottom and 30 06 (I think) on top, but it seems to have disappeared in the last 20 years or so.

I'm in the market for a .357/.38 revolver and another bolt action, maybe a Model 70 this time.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

My revolver is a .357 mag. It's a Ruger GP100. It's built like a tank. It will outlive several generations if taken care of. Maybe even if it's not.

I've been seriously considering the Ruger, in a 6 inch barrel. Ruger makes a good gun, and they're more reasonably priced then the S&Ws. I was interested in the Rossi 972, but I handled one at a gun show a couple of months ago and it felt too light and a bit cheap, whereas the GP100 had a nice heft and balance to it. I was thinking of the SP101, but I want the 6 inch barrel.

The GP100 is great. You wouldn't be disappointed. It's a great value for the price. Mine is the 6 inch! It has a great feel.

S&Ws are overpriced because of the name.

The only .357 revolver I would take over my GP100, is a Colt Python!

That's because it's a Colt Python and it has serious collector value and is a very expensive gun.

Colt > S&W
