Quizzed by an eager journalist about whether being hit by a flying sandwich at Lyneham High would overshadow her school funding deal with the ACT government, Julia Gillard was honest.
"That's a question for you,'' the Prime Minister replied.
Of course the (unspoken) answer was "yes'' because the national media isn't overly concerned about school funding arrangements in the ACT.

And the second school sandwich-throwing incident in a few weeks is an interesting change from the rock star treatment the PM usually receives when she visits a school.

Teachers had obviously carefully prepared a group of students to ask the PM questions in the library.
Their questions were written down and rehearsed. But unfortunately the PM had to walk down a corridor full of other students to get to the library.

As Gillard made her way through the crowd, shaking hands, a salami sandwich flew through the air and briefly made contact with her arm.
She laughed it off, as did Chief Minister Katy Gallagher.
