The Hobbit will be Three Films, not Two

It was shit, it'ss one of those deviations that I want the writer crucified... others (like bypassing Tom Bombadil by having the magic swords be Elven gifts, and making the recapture of the Shire moot by killing off Saruman) were rather nicely handled, but that one was a butchery that should have ended in pureed Frodo.

Sometimes I read this like you are talking about the Bible. It's just a book.

And by the way, all that was in LOTR, not The Hobbit.

So, I just saw the Hobbit. It's pretty disappointing. Couldn't be bothered explaining why.

I can't remember the book. But as a movie, it was really disappointing when compared to LOTR. It's almost like he did it on the cheap. The special effects are of lesser quality than the LOTR, and they were done years ago.

Of course it's LotR, I won't see the Hobbit until the three movies are available in full version... If I see one more butchered theater cut, I'll murder jackson and any number of the crew responsible for that shit, it was lucky I saw the extended version of FotR before I could implement that project.

I had two problems with LOTR --

1. Too much slow motion, especially in Return of the King.

2. The scenes in Fellowship where the Black Riders are chasing them, especially at that mountain hideaway where several of the black riders were there. They moved too slow and carefully stabbed Frodo when they could have hacked him to bits. And, then Aragorn shows up with a torch and they all run away. And, then when Arwen is riding the horse and the nazgul are chasing her and the editing has them catching up, then caught up, then catching up, then caught up, etc. And, the whole idea that they had to expand Arwen's role at all -- silly.
