Reading through the article, it's more detailed than what we knew before.
The solar radiation wouldn't be a problem in deep space, travelling to another star. But the galactic comsmic rays seem to be the worst, with high energy, passing easily through conventional shielding.
So they would have to find a way of deflecting them, to travel to another star. If six months travel to Mars puts you over the limit, 90,000 years travel to proxima centauri might clock up a lethal dose.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
