Go to bed, rEvo. You might feel better in the morning.rEvolutionist wrote:Quote it. The wiki article is quite clear that Israel gets aid from the US.

Who the fuck would be better? The Mullah's? Those fucks can't wipe their arses without making sure doing it torments some woman or other. Christians They'd spend it all on prayer beads and fire-arms. I mean some faith group has to run the global finance system, Atheists don't believe in Mammon nor Pluto.klr wrote:Ah, but the Joos run the global financial system.Hermit wrote:2+ billion dollars per year? Oh wait, that's just in The Protocols. Although some people seem to believe that.
I do not believe the borders were redrawn, although there has been an ongoing water dispute. I do not recall the previous discussion, and I'd love ot see the material on it. Are you talking water in the West Bank? Or water in Gaza?Pappa wrote:There are a whole bunch of major issues, but how about these two for starters.Coito ergo sum wrote:ReV - how about we start with:
(a) what are the things you are critical of Israel about?
and,
(b) what is your evidentiary basis to support those criticisms?
If there are too many to cover here, just go with your top one or two. Whatever you think the biggies are, the real whoppers.
1) Israel re-drawing the borders to ensure the fresh water supplies go to Israelis and not Palestinians.
2) The arbitrary restrictions on what can be imported into Gaza. At various times it has included wood, cement, gravel, chocolate, musical instruments, crayons, batteries, wheelchairs, books, cups.... I could go on, the list is really rather long.
Regarding point 2. We had a discussion about this around 3 years ago and at the time you were surprised and didn't initially believe such restrictions had existed. I provided you with detailed documentary evidence about some of the more absurd restrictions, though I don't really recall your response.
Sounds good, then.rEvolutionist wrote:Honestly, I'm not interested in a debate on Israel/Palestine. It's like gun debates. I've wasted weeks on them in the past and achieved nothing. I'll make little points here and there, but the issue is too polemic to get any real value out of.Coito ergo sum wrote:ReV - how about we start with:

This nonsense is, well, nonsense. You've debated me often, first of all. And, you don't back up your claims. And, when called on it, you simply say you're too tired of arguing to answer it.rEvolutionist wrote:This is reason why I don't debate with Coit much. For whatever reason, he continually claims he doesn't know the sky is blue. No matter how widely it is known that the sky is blue, he apparently doesn't know it. There's nothing wrong with not knowing certain things, but to speak so strongly and authoritatively on some subjects without knowing the most basic facts is discouraging to further debate.Pappa wrote:There are a whole bunch of major issues, but how about these two for starters.Coito ergo sum wrote:ReV - how about we start with:

I argue from evidence, and using logic.Făkünamę wrote:He argues like a politician.
Also why I don't debate with him much either.

More money for Merkins... that can't be a bad thing.Coito ergo sum wrote:The US gives more money to Arab countries than Israel.Svartalf wrote:Well, what money the US gummint doesn't give is amply supplemented by what the Jewish American comunity sends...
Let's agree to defund them all.
i'm sure it's only the funding for Israel that folks are objecting to.... funding Arab countries is only right and proper. They are the downtrodden minority, all 1.2 billion of them, whereas the 7 million Jews in Israel are enslaving them all.Svartalf wrote:More money for Merkins... that can't be a bad thing.Coito ergo sum wrote:The US gives more money to Arab countries than Israel.Svartalf wrote:Well, what money the US gummint doesn't give is amply supplemented by what the Jewish American comunity sends...
