Amazon is taking their sweet-ass time delivering Bioshock Infinite, so in the meantime I just downloaded:
Grand Theft Auto Vice City
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories
Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories
Bully
Beyond Good and Evil
Okami
Fatal Frame
and this one I never heard of called Papo and Yo, that looks gorgeous...

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.

Maybe I should go back to one of those games I downloaded. I started playing Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV last night and it was godawful. I think I thought it was Skyrim when I bought it or something. Only of course it wasn't.

Started Metro 2033 while supremely stoned.. It is awesome! But I keep dying because I'm stoned and my twitch reflexes are dulled as a result.

Resident evil 6. It is a long time since a game made my adrenaline pump like this one. I'm loving every second of it. I like the skill system and the co-op too. Gives it a lot of replay value even when you know where all the critters are going to pop up.
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Re: Now what are you playing now 2: Limited Collectors Editi
Started Papo and Yo. Pretty much as I expected: gorgeous to look at, interesting story, unique gameplay. So far not very challenging, though.
I'm not sure who is Papo and who is Yo, but the game is about this kid and his big monster. You're in a fantasy version of the kid's South American neighborhood, and he can manipulate the surroundings through magic or whatever. You need to manipulate the environment to get from point A to point B. The monster can be helpful but has a very bad temper. Flashbacks out of the fantasy world reveal the boy has a violent and abusive alcoholic father. Obvious symbolism between the monster and father, and the fantasy setting is the kid's mental escape mechanism.
So far I can lure the monster to certain spots with fruit. If he steps on a pressure plate, that triggers some sort of alteration of the surroundings. Or if he falls asleep I can bounce on his big fat belly to reach a higher platform. Or if he's very angry, in one of his rages, I can get him to chase after me and crash into things.
The game reminds me a little of Ico in that you have two characters traversing a puzzle-filled landscape and your companion can be a hindrance at times but helpful at others, a strikingly beautiful art design, and wonderfully evocative mood and tone.

Back playing World of Warcraft. Had an account since three months after it kicked off. It isn't the same any more but it still sucks me in now and again. Got a new Panda Hunter.
Yeah.

Finished Papo & Yo. Wow
It was short, yes. And easy. But for both beauty and emotional resonance, no other games can really touch this aside from Ico or SotC. This is on my short of games as works of art.
