Guys, what kind of books would you have?

I would like to eventually get a few books on WWII.

I may have one. Can I add it to yours? I have a WWI book I got to read about Russians and Finns. The czar lost the army and we got communism.

Books covering the full gamut of human existence, many without pictures. The more esoteric tomes are prominently displayed in order to daunt visitors, though these grow rarer in my fallow years. The world tends to say of me: "Despite appearances, he knows a lot". Some add "And he has exquisite taste in bandanas",

What books would we have? When you say "have," I assume you mean sexually? I'd have them all. I'm a bibliophile, a book lover. I never met a book I didn't like

Lots and lots of history books - mostly military history.

Lots of evolution-related books - it's a very broad church.

Comparatively few fiction books.

I'm not at all in favour of boobs (or bazongas as my au pair calls them). I rarely find them aesthetically appealing and they ceased to be functional after I passed the age of two. Plus they have a habit of making people seriously ill.

If you read ONE book on WWII - make it Body Guard of LIes - will over turn a lot of what you thought you knew.
Orwell was under the State Secrets Act so the only way he could talk about was through a novel....1984.

The archives were only opened in the 90s making books like Bodyguard available to write and it is mind blowing.
The disinformation to fool the Germans and the allies own citizens was unreal.....and some of the decisions heart breaking.

I would have some murder mysteries made better than the one I'm reading now. It's not awful, but it's not necessary to announce that something bad is going to happen to a character later. WE KNOW the detectives, wives kids, harmless towb winos and anyone else are ALL fair game to be victims.
