Well, that right there pretty much sums up the ideas of Anarchist conservatives right there. No authority other than one's self and narrow local tribal loyalties. All in all, a kind of personal loyalty that is more along the lines of something 500 years ago in europe than the modern world. Actually, it's more narrow than that, because these people probably don't like the idea of distant rulers of any sort, no matter how they are selected. Anarchist conservaticm means a belief in only the authority of oneself and allegiance to one's tribal group, combined with an infectious, all-pervasive religiousity that is all-surrounding and of total smothering influence. How do people develop ideas this stupid? Inbreeding? I'm being serious. How can someone actually believe in shit this stupid unless they have some kind of mental deficiency? This is the kind of stuff that makes me think that the future of the United States as a modern country, if you consider it to be now, is in doubt. If reigiots like this, who are the equivalent of the theocrats in Iran, ever come into power, then the US will stop being a modern state and become isolated from the rest of the world.

A couple of books that I just thought of:

Naomi Wolf - The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot; and
Margaret Atwood - The Handmaiden's Tale.
That whole diatribe of bollocks is a testament to idiocy in my book. It beggars belief that anyone with the power of speech (let alone able to write) could be that fucking stupid. There, my friends, is the power of indoctrination; there is the power of being lied to every day of your childhood and early adult life by everyone that you know, everyone you love, everyone you respect; there is the power of being told again and again to silence your inner questions; there is the power of embracing ignorance in order to fit in; there is the power of religion; there is the power of bullshit at critical mass!

There is the Taleban. Just with a different hat on.

There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life. Frank Zappa

Are these the same folks who tried to introduce a measure declaring Richard Dawkins as some undesirable interloper?
At least I'm housebroken.
