They want to boast that they have a nuclear warhead. Unlikely. So how much damage can you do with a "regular" warhead.

Hmm. I'm right about 36° 38′ 0″ N, 127° 29′ 0″ E. I'm safe from conventional artillery, no? I'm also out in the boonies except for when I'm at work, so no reason to point a rocket out here. A nuke is probably the only sort I'd need to be concerned about, I think, and I really don't think they've got one weaponized yet.

In the end of the war Russia ran out of bombs. So the dropped big rocks. Be ready for anything:

Both "today" and "tomorrow" have passed since then.

Re: The fear of North Korea
OK, some armchair, Monday-morning diplomacy. Way back when, we (the US and co.) found out that NK was developing its own nuclear power plant (Yongbyun). Clinton came very close to bombing the shit out of it, but reluctantly agreed to sign that Agreed Framework in '94, thinking NK would fall apart before Yongbyun turned into anything. In the Agreed Framework, the US was to provide free fuel oil to NK to compensate for their reduced power output capacity, as well as start deactivating economic sanctions. On the heels of the agreement, Republicans stall funding for the oil, and Dubya takes office, immediately branding NK as part of the "Axis of Evil." Whatever oil from the US that does make it to NK is paid for with alternative funding and is mostly late and in lesser quantities than promised. NK starts tapping its toes while Yongbyun is being dismantled. When the oil stops coming at all, thanks to Dubya, and economic sanctions are still in full swing, KJI finally says, "Fuck all y'all" and starts re-developing their nuclear technology. Fast forward to today.
I think that, a) the fact that Clinton didn't bomb the shit outta Yongbyun way back when (to be fair, it probably would've resulted in a full-scale war), and b) Dubya's desire to be seen as the tough guy, non-negotiating president both contributed to the mess we're in now.

Could view it as the Marxist dialectic in action. The collapse of the dollar will 'allow' both Russia and China to revert to fully fledged communist states.

I'm happy to watch this whole thing unfold in the safety of my English home. They say it'll be the tenth when it kicks off so watch the ninth. Good clean fight. Winners keepers.
