What I suggested wasn't a fact, but speculation. I believed this to be a hypothetical thread, because we aren't North Korea, or its ruling dynasty, and as such we can't articulate the reasons for their behaviour.
Yep, I'm ignorant of the military situation. Thanks for helping me a bit closer to
Lozzerland reality.
I think you're being a bit stupid, personally, given that it's ubiquitously accepted within the study of international relations that North Korea is a buffer state for China. If they're willing to subsidise such a heavily armed, despotic state like North Korea to function as a trench between them and South Korea, do you really think they wouldn't 'beef up' their borders in the event of NK's collapse?
FUCKING LOL

No, I don't. Not to the scale you imply in your first post. They don't need to, South Korea is not aggressive toward China, and China knows it.

That doesn't mean anything. All it takes is a perceived imbalance, and things can escalate. This doesn't mean 'war', just militarisation.

Yeah, and we're afraid Puerto Rico will invade us.
You're out of your depth here, Lozz.

Puerto Rico hasn't the backing of a unipolar power. No, with respect, you're out of your depth.

Sure they do. They have the backing of the same unipolar power that backs S.Korea.

*Facepalm*
Is there a buffer state between China and Puerto Rico? Does Puerto Rico have a substantial military?

Yes. Puerto Rico has arguably the most powerful military in the world, which it shares with Guam, the US Virgin Islands and the Northern Marianas Islands.

Buffer state? Tradition of conflict? Past conflict? Economic competition? Subterfuge?

In favor of North Korea?
Apart from their leaders, they have no obesity.
They have the slimmest, trimmest Asian ladies anywhere.
They have a very effective and totally 'natural' strategy for fighting overpopulation. Humans, of course, try to control population with birth control. Mother Nature and North Korea have an alternative method.
For every human action, there is a rationalisation and a reason. Only sometimes do they coincide.

Well, SK does outnumber China .0005 to 1, so maybe you're right.
